Dear Governor Schwarzenegger:

I'm writing to urge you to veto AB2948 (Umberg), a bill that would radically change the way that Presidential elections are held in the United States.
The bill - through an interstate compact - effectively abolishes the Electoral college and substitutes the results of the popular vote. This is something that should bring us all into the streets, even more so than the Illegal Alien Invasion Victory Parades of the spring. If you have a blog, or are a caller to a talk-radio show...
Please read the story at Winds of Change, and link to it, talk about it, and call the Governator.
Tell him this would destroy our Constitution beyond repair !

For Your Information, I have been monitoring an unconstitutional multi-state compact in the process of formation. This compact would forever alter the way we elect Presidents, and destroy the last vestiges of our Constitutional Republic. I view this activity as treasonous, and it must be stopped !!! And somebody tell The President the difference between a Democracy and a Republic !!!

Thanks, Bob.
I will call.
You might put something up about calling our local state reps here in NC as well. Tell them we don't want to be part of this compact.

Do you oppose the right of all votes to be counted equally?
The old electoral college is outdated and needs to be replaced with a more democratic process, and the constitution needs to evolve to a higher level.

Do you prefer we go back to MOB rule? Maybe we can have our own Ceaser as well?

This used to be one of several political commentary blogs I ran until I got tired of updating several blogs, and consolidated them on Thunder Pig, and moved the group blogs to a Ning network.

These photos are a reflection of where I am throughout the day, and a celebration of life west of the Balsam mountain range in western North Carolina.
