SPRUCE PINE – Authorities in Mitchell County today announced the arrest of a David Kenneth McCall, 44, of Spruce Pine in connection with weekend fires here.

McCall has been charged with one count of arson in the second degree, four counts of burning a commercial building and four counts of breaking and entering, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said in a statement released this morning. If convicted, McCall faces a maximum sentence of 23 years confinement on all of the charges.
