Nice Data:
But what conclusions can you reasonably draw....That Taylor is favored by rich folks in Asheville?
Saturday, August 26, 2006 2:12:00 PM
The primary conclusion I draw is people outside the district, for whatever reason, wish to see the 23rd most powerful member of the U.S. House lose the election.
In my opinion, anyone who can afford to contribute more than $500.oo to a candidate is rich.
Anyone who sends $500.00 or more to muliple candidates, some of them outside their home state, are either obscenely rich, or funneling money.

I don't think anyone reads this crap --- 'cept those of us who have nothing better to do.

Being as wealthy as he is, how much does Taylor actually rely on fundraising to run his campaign?
Saturday, October 14, 2006 7:30:00 AM
I don't believe you actually followed the links and looked at the Federal Elections Commission data.
When a candidate uses their own money in a campaign, they invoke rules that allow the other candidate to raise more money.
Screwy Hoolie has an article on this subject, albeit from the left side of the aisle.
Both these guys are millionaires sevferal times over, and possess the cash to reach the FEC limits.
